An entrepreneur with a social media reach of over 100k followers, Micaela Brown created a national event marketing voice with an audience interested in event marketing, marketing, branding, and entrepreneurship. Her work has been featured by Forbes Travel, The New York Times, Travel Pulse, American Towns, and more! As a brand marketer, her work is featured in publications such as Forbes, Cosmopolitan, USA Today, Harper's Bazaar, Refinery 29, OK!, and Marie Claire.
Micaela consults on branding, social media, marketing, and startups. She also creates unique event experiences around art, food, wine & whiskey, fashion, and culture. Past events include sophisticated initiatives such as The Running of the Chihuahuas (we really did race 150 chihuahuas), The Whiskey Classic, founding Diner en Blanc Albuquerque, and gaining permission from JK Rowling to produce Christmas at Hogwarts.
In 2016 Micaela founded Blush & Whimsy LLC, a skincare and cosmetics company, built around the belief that all people deserve the opportunity to have magic in their everyday lives. As Founder and CEO, that meant building infrastructure around a demographic of people who are typically marginalized and unable to find work. All Blush & Whimsy products are warehoused, assembled, quality controlled, packaged, and shipped by people with disabilities including disabled veterans. 2018-2020 Blush & Whimsy products have been featured in the Grammy Gift Bags, Honoring the Academy Awards Gifting Suites, "Everyone Wins" Gift Bags given to Oscar Nominees, Cannes Film Festival, and the Real Housewives of NYC Hamptons event.
In 2019, Micaela was invited to join the Arrowhead Center’s advisory board as an Enterprise Advisor. The Arrowhead Center is a tech incubator responsible for nurturing entrepreneurs as they solve market problems through tech advances and the creation of startup businesses. As an Enterprise Advisor, she joins the board of experienced venture capitalists and startup veterans to advise, coach, and prepare young startups for their next stages of growth. This includes:
--Acting as a sounding board for ideas connecting startups to networks for business development
--Providing feedback on presentation materials for fund raising
--Assisting with development of business models to generate revenue
--Prioritizing market opportunities and defining go to market plans
--Other high level advisory support
When not creating new products, concepts, or events, she can be found playing with her chihuahuas (natch), sipping wine, and chatting up random people (most likely).
Micaela was formerly an international trade and development consultant in Washington, D.C. with Target Market International, LLC., USAID contractor for Chemonics International, and International Trade Specialist with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, International Buyer Program, International Trade Administration.
